Red Page Marketing is working on a complex 4-stage renewal series for a B2B newsletter. The assignment includes amalagamating a range of products into one offering, developing price messaging and preparing briefing and objection-handling sheets for the client's conversion team.
TRAINING - Practical Marketing Management training course
Michael Smith of Red Page Marketing delivered a two day course in Wales for the Welsh Books Council in Aberystwyth. The course covered the strategy and tactics of marketing communications for book launches, including planning schedules, ROI metrics, copywriting skills, Web 2.0 marketing and more. Our thanks to the Welsh Books Council for the excellent hospitality and to the publishers who attended for making for a stimulating two days in Wales.

Red Page Ltd has been contracted by 26th February 2009 William Reed Business Media Ltd to provide an outsourced marketing solution for its leading strategic newsletters, Hotel Report and M&C Report. Red Page is providing outsourced copywriting, design, campaign management and mailing house liaison for the company in a turnkey solution and to a fixed price.
Red Page Marketing developing new courses with Publishing Training Centre
Red Page Ltd, has been contracted by the Publishing Training Centre ("Book House") to develop a series of marketing courses for management in the publishing industry. Michael says "I was delighted to be approached to work with PTC. I believe passionately that marketing is a discipline and that managers need to understand not just what it does, but how it can be measured. I am really looking forward to meeting the delegates in due course."
Red Page Marketing rolls out range of branded goods for heritage shop
Red Page Ltd has been working with King's English in Canterbury to deliver a range of heritage-themed goods for its books, gifts and craft selection. The goods included notebooks, postcards, notelets, cufflinks, t-shirts, placemats, coasters, hand-made journals, sculptures, historic gifts and other branded items.
As well as selling branded goods and heritage-themed products sourced by Red Page Ltd, the shop also retails a range of distinctively English books and opened in August 2009.
Red Page worked with the client to develop its typography, brand imagery, and brand touchpoints and is being retained to develop further marketing collateral and website offerings going forwards, including a retail website and a site for language learning courses.
Red Page Marketing writes SEO copy for online business directory
Red Page Ltd has been retained to produce SEO copy for a new online business directory in Kent, UK. The directory, Joe PubClick, is a new online service which connects students and residents to a range of businesses including venues, professionals, local services and council amenities. Michael T A Smith, Director, Red Page Ltd said "we were delighted to be tasked with an SEO copywriting assignment in a highly competitive market and look forward to seeing the results bear fruit for the client".
Red Page Marketing delivers brand solution for cabling network business
Red Page Ltd was asked to deliver a contiguous branding solution including direct mail flyers, sales letters, envelopes and a presentation folder and inserts for a business installing high grade cabling for telecoms and IP protocol systems.
The client required high level branding to enable it to pitch for business within the bespoke luxury-build end of the housing market.
In this campaign, we focused not on what the client's business was, but what it provided for their customers. Using the theme "Imagine" to allow end users to understand the value of the installation offering, the marketing materials enabled the client to present itself more professionally not only to end-user home owners but also to top level architects and designers working with those end users.

The solution allows the client to compete effectively for business in the high net-worth market where clients are demanding and expect superior quality from their suppliers".
Red Page Marketing delivers strategic branding for heritage business
Red Page was approached to provide a strategic launch marketing solution for The English Cultural Experience covering a number of different areas, including heritage retail, guided tours, a museum and a hotel. Core to the assignment was to position the business at the higher end of the cultural heritage market to enable the business to occupy a more profitable niche than that enjoyed by many in the tourism arena.
The project, involving a long term partnership with the business, included the development of a strategic marketing plan, direct mail solutions, website architecture, online copywriting, brand development, pricing, retail sourcing and product packaging.
Red Page devised a contiguous branding structure based on woodcut images of some of the properties in the client’s portfolio. This was then rolled out in a variety of formats including letterheads, postcards, packaging, menu boards, merchandise and the company websites.

Wine & Spirit Magazine subscriptions campaign from Red Page Marketing
Red Page Marketing worked with William Reed Publishers to develop a marketing campaign to launch Wine & Spirit Magazine.
Red Page was approached to re-launch Wine & Spirit following its acquisition from another publisher. The client wanted the magazine to be pitched away from the “stuffy” world of wine and to develop a more contemporary pitch for the brand to take it into lower age demographics and to enable to be sold to the drinks trade. Red Page Marketing worked in partnership with the client as an outsourced marketing solution over a number of months to define the pitch and to arrive at a range of different marketing initiatives including: website copy; brochure work; sales letters; advertising; renewal series; in-issue subscription initiatives and retention advertisements.
Core to the assignment was the creation of a brand statement for the magazine, centred on a contemporary and humorous positioning of it in a world renowned for taking itself seriously.

Marketing of Pharmaceutical Journals
Michael Smith, Director,Red Page Ltd worked with publisher Adis International to develop a range of themed direct mail brochures to promote its international suite of peer-reviewed pharmaceutical journals.
As Michael says: “we were approached to provide an outsourced marketing resource for Adis International (part of international publishing group Wolters Kluwer), providing a turnkey outsourced marketing solution including list research, copywriting, brochure and sales letter design, print and fulfillment sourcing to produce a range of marketing materials to grow awareness, subscriptions and renewals of their journals.”
The journals worked on included: Drugs; Applied Bioinformatics; Drug Safety; Applied Health Economics; Evidence-based Integration; Paediatrics Today; Paediatric Drugs; Reactions Pharmacovigilance and Toxicological Reviews.
